At The Dark Side Tint Co., we provide professional window tinting services. From personal vehicles and commercial fleets to dealerships and properties, owner Elbert brings years of automotive industry experience and attention to detail to every project. Our focus is on precision, quality workmanship, and delivering consistent, professional results.
The road here
The beginning
Started young
Elbert came to the trade early, spending his teenage years learning window tinting panel by panel and building the patience the craft demands.
Diesel technology
Oil fields and 18-wheelers
He earned a degree in diesel technology and went to work on oil-field 18-wheelers, where breakdowns are expensive and shortcuts are unforgiving.
San Antonio
Automotive tech and business degrees
Back in San Antonio he stacked two more degrees, automotive technology and business, building both the hands and the head to run a shop of his own.
The dealership years
Master of the hard problems
As a dealership mechanic he specialized in the work others avoid: electrical diagnostics, EV high-voltage systems, transmissions and chassis.
2022
The Dark Side Tint Co. is founded
Elbert opened his own shop in Boerne, bringing a mechanic's standard of care to ceramic tint, wraps and paint protection.
Today
Trained by the best in the trade
He holds Wrap Leaders training and Avery Dennison paint protection film certification, and he still installs every job like his name is on the door, because it is.
